Condition Monitoring

Condition Monitoring (CM) is the process of monitoring a parameter of condition in machinery in order to identify a significant change which is indicative of a developing fault. Vibration Analysis

Noble Engineering Services uses Vibration Analysis (VA) in various environments to effectively reduce maintenance costs and equipment downtime by detecting equipment and component faults for better machine management. VA is a key component of a Condition Monitoring (CM) program, and is often referred to as Predictive Maintenance (PdM). All our consultants are qualified with either Cat II, Cat III or Cat IV through the Vibration Institute.

Airborne Ultrasonics

Use Airborne Ultrasonics to hear what you cannot see.

Ultrasound detectors sense high-frequency signals and convert them into corresponding audible sounds while maintaining their original characteristics and qualities. Our consultants use Airborne Ultrasonics for internal hydraulic leakage, air/gas leaks and electrical discharge detection.

Leak Detection

Each day that a leak goes undetected is another day of wasted resources, increased energy costs and diminished product quality. Locating compressed air leaks in noisy production areas is nearly impossible. Our consultants use Airborne Ultrasonics to create a compressed air leak management program that shows you how to find and fix air leaks in your plant.

Electrical Inspections

Electrical failures pose a tremendous safety threat and have the ability to shut down operations and plants entirely. Electrical discharge is a constant threat to your safety – and the health of your electrical systems. Ultrasound solutions reveal electrical fault conditions such as partial discharge (corona), partial arcing (tracking) and arcing discharge inside metal clad switchgear, around substations, and in overhead transmission and distribution lines.

Motion Amplification

Greater Understanding of Vibration.

Motion Amplification is a revolutionary video-processing product and software package that detects subtle motion and amplifies that motion to a level visible with the naked eye. Every pixel becomes a vibration sensor creating millions of data points in an instant. Noble Engineering Services has applied this technology to show structural defects, looseness, and resonance in any asset that the camera can see. The visual representation helps present technical issues in a more easily understood fashion.

Thermal Imagery

Infrared Thermography (IRT), Thermal Imaging, and Thermal Video are examples of infrared imaging science. Thermographic cameras are ideal for understanding the surface temperature of any visible machine component. Noble Engineering Services use this technique to identify localised heating due to rubbing, ineffective cooling, and poor lubrication transfer which can lead to fires or equipment failure.

Online Monitoring

Our Online Monitoring capabilities incorporate several products that can be tailored to your specific need. This may be our Bearing Guard™ product specifically designed to function as a multi channel protection system that is portable, or it may be full FFT constant monitoring to serve as a replacement for routine VA. Noble Engineering Services has applied this technology across critical applications to serve as a 24/7 condition assessment, or as an efficiency measure to save travel costs on remote installations.

Oil Anaysis

Oil analysis (OA) is the laboratory analysis of a lubricant’s properties, suspended contaminants, and wear debris. Collecting samples is always last on a shift fitter’s list and is sometimes overlooked. Noble Engineering Services provide competent technicians to deliver reliable, repeatable sampling to show the condition of your asset. We deliver immediate visual assessment, and use recognised laboratories to assess the samples against the criteria you require.
